Chin straps are optional accessories that can be used with a variety of nasal and nasal pillows masks. They wrap around the top of your head and underneath your chin to prevent your mouth from opening at night.

Recommended replacement as needed for proper velcro closure and stretch. Wash in warm, soapy water once a week with a gentle soap.

May be a case where it takes longer than I want to get used to it. According to my CPAP machine, it's very effective at reducing air leakage, but, needs to be a bit too tight to do so. A comfortable fit is much less effective for air leakage. Build is substantial, except for the chin cup, which is very thin compared to the rest of the chinstrap. Not sure how that part will stand up. Velcro is aggressive, with lots of bite, but, needs to be very carefully positioned to ensure does not rub against skin over the ear. As a restless side sleeper, I find it not very comfortable to lie on. due to the bulk and placement of the seams. Top and side straps are wide and heavy, great for fitting, but, makes putting the CPAP mask harness over it a challenge. I need to do a lot of fiddling every night to get both the chinstrap and CPAP harness sitting properly, and as comfortable as the combination gets.
