If you are experiencing a technical issue with your medical, gas or CPAP equipment, our certified repair technicians will provide a complete diagnostic evaluation of a requested repair. Please visit our 150 McPhillips Street location where our customer care representatives and repair technician will walk you through the repair process and troubleshooting. Should your device require warranty repair or replacement, we are happy to facilitate a quick turn-around with the manufacturer. If your equipment is out of warranty, our technician will prepare a quote for repairs required. Trouble shooting guide for CPAP & BiLevel units.
Obsolete units:
Support and parts are discontinued by manufacturer. It is recommended to purchase a new unit. These units will not be repaired.
- Resmed S9 CPAP, S8, S7, S6,
- Respironics System one 60 series
- 961, 761, 561, 261, 221
- Respironics System one 50 series
- 951, 751, 551, 251
- Respironics Legacy series
- Fisher Paykel 234 or lower model
Resmed Airsense 10 (CPAP, Autoset, VPAP):
Problem: Noisy
- Check for mask leak
- Check condensation or water build up in the hose
- Is there a noise is coming from the machine?
- Is it whining, humming, hi-pitch or loud noise?
- If one is heard, it may be replaced, if under warranty
- Off warranty? Starting cost is $450.00 for parts and labour plus tax with 90 days warranty
Problem: Machine won’t turn on
- Check if connections are secure. No loose connection at the back of machine and at the power block
- Check if there is a green light at the power block. If there is no light try plugging it on a different wall outlet, if still no light, then power block needs to be replaced
- Is there is a green light on the power block? Unplug the cord at the back of machine and put it back after 30 seconds
- Plug the unit on a different wall outlet, if still not working, then power block may need to be replaced
- Still won’t turn on. Unit should be brought in for repair
Problem: Humidifier not heating
- Increase humidity setting
- If error message of Heating System Fault. Check warranty date. it will be repair if it is still under warranty
- Off warranty? the cost is $ 263.00 for parts and labor plus tax with 90 days warranty
Problem: Overheating
- Decrease humidity setting
- Move machine to a well-ventilated location
- If not resolve it should be brought into the service technician’s attention
Problem: Too much pressure
- Check for mask leak
- Check Rx in Accuro, advise Pt. to turn on the machine and compare the pressure against the prescription
- Advise Pt. to turn on the ramp time setting and set it to Auto
- Check with Respiratory Therapist to increase EPR setting
- If not resolve it should be brought into the service technician’s attention
Problem: Low pressure
- Check for mask leak
- Check Rx in Accuro, advise Pt. to turn on the machine and compare the pressure against the prescription
- Turn off Ramp Time setting
- Check with Therapist to turn off EPR setting
- No resolution? Create repair from and give to the service technician
Respironics DreamStation:
Problem: Noisy
- Check for mask leak
- Check condensation or water build up in the hose
- Is there a noise is coming from the machine? Is it whining, humming, hi-pitch, or loud noise?
- If one is heard, it may be replaced, if under warranty
- Off warranty? Starting cost is $ 340.50 for parts and labour plus tax with 90 days warranty
Problem: Machine won’t turn on
- Check if connections are secure

- Still won’t turn on? Unit should be brought in for repair
Problem: Humidifier not heating
- Increase humidity setting
- If humidifier symbol is flashing or there is an X on the humidifier symbol
- Check warranty date, it will be replaced if it is still under warranty
- Off warranty? Starting cost is $ 200.00 for parts and labour plus tax with 90 days warranty
Problem: Overheating
- Decrease humidity setting
- Move machine to a well-ventilated location
- No resolution? Create repair from and give to the service technician

- Check with Respiratory Therapist to turn off Flex setting

Concentrator Trouble Shooting:
Stationery Concentrator
The concentrator will alarm when there is a loss of power.
- Does your home have power?
- Is concentrator plugged in?
- Is there power to the outlet?
- Try a different outlet
- Turn it off and back on
- Is the tubing kinked?
If the rental concentrator is still alarming it will require service. Arrange for a replacement rental unit to be shipped ASAP and create TIMS ticket for shipment.
If the client has purchased their concentrator, we will still loan a rental unit while their unit is being serviced.
Portable Concentrator (POC)

POC Batteries
If there is an issue with the rental battery, we can offer a different rental battery for the patient.
Arrange for a two-way courier to have the batteries exchanged.
